• Speaking of A Memory of Light, the prologue is now available for pre-order!

• io9 continues their series of great genre-themed lists, this time with a list of the 12 greatest science fiction war stories. What do you think they’re missing?

• Check out this amazing, handmade Doctor Who chess set. If I had $900 to spend, I would absolutely buy this. Though I’m not really sure the Weeping Angels should be pawns…

• Cory Doctorow and Charlie Stross went to Brooklyn last week, for an event at MakerBot. If you missed the event, don’t worry: there’s a video.

• Tor.com and artist John Picacio took a look at the history of the Best Professional Artist Hugo Award, giving us a glimpse at some amazing genre art.

• Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock this week, you’ve seen the explosion of “Gangnam Style” videos, patterned after the K-pop star Psy’s video. My favorite so far? Deadpool vs. Gangnam Style.
