Our bookshelves are a little overcrowded right now and we need to make room for new books arriving soon. So, we thought we’d make room by offering up books and more to you! You can win one of the two collections pictured below. Enter by commenting and letting us know which collection you’d like to win most:

E-books are OK, you can always have them with you (Kindle, IPad, Android, etc.). But… there is something about the real hard copy of a book. Its the weight, the feel, the small… Ahhh the new ink and new paper together combine to take you back to when you first learned to read. Whether you were 4 or 8, doesn’t matter, jst that you could hold in your hand a ticket to elsewhere. It gave you the freedom to see places and people that you could never discover any other way. I like set 2.

Picking which one i want to ask/hope for is next to impossible! Deathless and Sunless Countries call to me from the first, but i think i have to go for Court of the Air, In a Fix, and The Hum and the Shiver. My hopes must lie with Collection 2. (i’m not imagining that it was separated along sex lines right? Wonder what it says of me that i so badly want both!)

I would love either of them! They both have the Wheel of Time swag I desire. I have been reading the Wheel of Time series since I was in third grade. (I am now 24 years old) I always loved to read and developed a very high reading level at a young age. That reading ability got me a scholarship out of my public school into a private school, and subsequently into a great college. I am currently teaching in an inner city school as a part of the Teach for America corps. I hope to provide similar opportunities to my studenso they do not have to leave their schools to experience great things. I would share the rest of the books with them.

What a terrific opportunity to read newer books and try authors I haven’t read before! Off Armageddon Reef by David Weber peeks my interest with it science verus religion motif. How many times has science been obstructed by religion with seemingly little or no logic? Will Weber postulate his own theory on why this age-old struggle began? I’m also interest in The Coldest War by Ian Tregillis. His combination of modern warfare settings merged with magical overtones sounds fascinating and I wonder if he can pull it off. I can’t wait to find out!
