I often feel that I am a redshirt who, through some fluke (a magical parasite really), happened to not die. I have therefore devoted my life to the study of scatology (read: eschatology). This book may just explain to me the Truth and how the universe works, I want it.

I love John Scalzi…I really enjoy hearing his side of social commentary. His latest article, “Straight White Male: The Lowest Difficulty Setting”, was interesting. I think some of his opinions are unsupported, but he articulates his thoughts very well and is willing to hear many sides before he states his opinion.

As an avid reader, this looks like a good read for lovers of the paramilitary. A redshirt is also a fictional character who dies soon after being introduced.

I would love to enter the illustration contest but have no artistic skills. My idea is — for anyone who wants to use it — A redshirt minotaur is sitting on a doctor examination table. The human doctor is examining him. The minotaur is saying “What do you mean, Doc, when you say, ‘You’ve changed.’? I feel fine.”

  212. Denise Golinowski
    May 21, 2012 at 12:27 pm

Been WAITING for the redshirts to strike back! And would love to get a jump on finding out exactly how they do it!
