Historical Fiction and Romance are two of my favorite genres. The cover on the Weird book is sinister and you know it’s going to be taking you into the darkest corners like the scariest campfire stories. Glamour in Glass has a pristine young lady who can melt hearts with a glance.

Really enjoyed #torchat today, thanks for setting it up! I’m a fan of ‘weird’ fiction but haven’t read Mary Robinette Kowal’s stories – will definately check them out now after that chat!

Just want to thank the authors for taking the time to do the chat, and Tor for helping to lead the way in DRM-free books.

I think the best quote from today came from Jeff with: I’ll steal technique from a dead squirrel carcass if it helps me.

Those book looks like the kind I would read. Super cool. The Weird looks like one that I won’t be able to put down. I love both of the authors and I would love to add them to my bookshelf. Even tho it’s overflowing with books but that’s ok! 🙂

This is a great giveaway. I haven’t had the pleasure of reading any books by these authors, but I can see that I have really missed an opportunity. I hope I win so that I might rectify my mistake.

  45. May 22, 2012 at 2:59 pm

The covers of those books offer a lot of contrast, both visually and contextually. I think a successful cover makes you want to know more. Good job on both of these.

I’ve been seeing The Weird in Barnes and Noble and other book stores and have wanted to buy it each time! It’s been too expensive. If I can win a free copy, I would be extremely happy! Glamour in Glass also looks excellent.
